Now, none of those are really earth-shattering, in fact I would assume anyone would hire a lawyer to guide them through an investigation even if they are innocent. But, how hard did the McCain campaign look into her background? Currently, they have dispatched ten lawyers to Alaska to do a more thorough vetting, and I'm willing to bet their are at least that many Democratic lawyers up there now. Will there be a surprise before November?

Your're right. None of these are earth shattering, assuming that all of them are true. I would question her judgment if she had not hired a lawyer to represent her in the investigation.

I skimmed the Alaskan Independence Party's web site and it does not look like a very radical party to me. In fact, it looks like my kind of party. It does not look like the kind of party in which Bill Ayers and his friends would be comfortable. Too much talk about individual property rights and personal freedom.

 

Trying to paint Sarah Palin as some sort of radical based on her alleged one time membership and the video that you posted is pretty amusing. I think conservatives who read the party's platform will be much less worried than we are reading the Republican or Democratic Party platform. Thanks for sharing! :thumb:

It looks like the leftwing nuts on the Daily Kos are at it again with their smears of Sarah Palin. This time, they are attempting to paint Palin as a radical secessionist.

Of course they will - they are conservatives. Most middle-of-the-road Americans won't find much common ground with secession, massive privatization, abolishment of all environmental restrictions, nativism...stop me where this is appealing to most people.

The ticket is hardly cohesive, she appeals to only conservatives, terribly little is known about her (including McCain and his staff), and she's got a couple of months to sell the public on her stances on a plethora of important issues. I agree. Obama's bounce is gone and nobody is talking about his speech. The hard left's attempt to demonize and marginalize Sarah Palin before most people have even seen her speak is likely to backfire. She toppled an incumbent governor in her own party who also had 24 years as a US Senator under his belt and she won by a landslide. Palin is not going to be rattled by the "nattering nabobs of negativism" typing away at the Daily Kos.

You are entitled to your opinion. If you want to base your opinion of Palin on the loons at the Kos/Soros web sites and their willing media accomplices, then that is your decision. Donations are pouring in to the McCain campaign, so Sarah Palin will get her chance to appeal directly to the American people. My guess is that they will like what they see.
