I don't know what team he is going to be on. He was on the side lines during the game Friday.

The transfer spindoc was talking about was Rashard Carter as the Greenup transfer. He was in the Ashland School System last season. If you are going to call him a transfer it wouldn't be a Greenup transfer. His last school he went to before Ashland was Pennsylvania school system.

I know he was there, he came to school during basketball season. It was going around that he was going to A-town, and I tried to talk him into staying at GC. He came to weightlifting in the Summer, and even played in a passing league game for GC, Before transfering to Ashland.

That was plenty of adventure for me. You should have seen it, time stood still, for seemed to be 10 minutes. Boyles going down for a sack, underhanded pass 9 yards down field, very high up in the are, five defenders, one receiver, the receiver out jumped all the defenders. Scary moment.

I think time did stand still, at least the ball looked that way. I didn't think it was ever going to come down. Not only were there five defenders and one reciever in the area, that reciever was probably the shortest of the six. :jump:

The last 5 min of regulation I think all of us were holding our breath...then OT...Those boys fought for the win...GREAT DAY TO BE A RAM!!

Brought tears to my eyes.

I dont have a dog in this fight, but as a fan of Eastern Kentucky football I will say that over the past few years Ashland has definately taken a major hit to their program and have underachieved well below the typical Ashland standards. All the while they have angered other programs with their unorthodox approach to demanding scheduling in series, and seemingly had much more talk of off the field issues that have netatively affected the program.

 

Alot of factors can directly attribute to this happening, but to ignore the fact that Ashland has dropped substantially since Hart has taken over is foolish. Maybe it's bad luck, maybe it's the economy, maybe it is a pot luck of small things that have culminated with nothing to do with Coach Hart, but it is undeniable that the Ashland prgram needs to make some changes in some form.

You better watch it. The positive police will be here any minute telling you that you are wrong. :lol: Perhaps we are blaming the wrong person. How long has their AD been there now? Maybe we should blame him. Afterall, it seems that football isn't the only sport that has dropped off significantly as far as being competitive thru out the state. The name Ashland Tomcats used to bring fear to opponents when they appeared on your schedule. I don't see that happening anymore. Heck, it seems as if all of the small schools are lining up to play them, and their AD even boycotts some of those small schools.

One problem may be is that Ashand plays their next game vs. Pikeville in three days and some are still posting on a Ashland/Raceland game thread. :lol: That game was over last Friday night.

You haven't had much to be negative about, but I'm sure if Raceland started losing to teams they shouldn't be losing to on a consistent basis you guys would find plenty to be negative about. You won't find me being negative about the Russell Red Devils. Coach McGlone has done an awesome job of keeping me, and the rest of the alumni very happy.
