You must not know many; there are lots of respectable professional people who do little more than an occasional or even a daily joint, the same way a white collar worker might unwind after work with a martini or a blue collar joe knocks back a beer or two. It only becomes a gateway drug if the user doesn't have the self-discipline to keep it from escalating. It's just as fallacious an argument as those who suggest one drink makes you an alcoholic.

 

 

SO TRUE. I went to a Bob Dylan concert like 9 years ago at Xavier and we were sitting behind a very good Lawyer and a Cardiologist and when the concert started they lit one up. But I bet they do a very good job when they are doing their REAL job. Atleast I hope lol.

If it were made legal, I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. If it's legal, it's the same as me having a few beers while I cut the grass.

 

Also, they wouldn't be kids smoking in their own house. They would have to be adults (18 at least, most likely 21) in order to legally smoke it.

 

I've smoked my fair share of herb. Haven't touched the stuff in 3 or 4 years. I guess it just lost it's appeal to me.

 

I'll say it like many others have, I'd feel MUCH more comfortable, and safe, it a room filled with high people than a room filled with drunks.

Clyde, I guess my main problem with you smoking it in your own home is the fact that in order to obtain the weed, you have to, in some way, go through a drug dealer...

 

I've never met an honest drug dealer. I've never trusted a drug dealer. The people that you buy this stuff from are the same people that will break into your house over a 100 dollar dvd player. They aren't good people and have no place in society.

I didn't take it like he wasn't going to ever get a job and sit around the house. I took it as when he sat in his own home and smoked weed that he wanted to sit on the couch and enjoy doritos with his high.

I'll refer my kid to be a kid at 18 and 21 and I wouldn't want him doing this, I cannot believe others would be ok with it either if it was legal or not, it makes you hallucinate. How can you say you would be alright with watching your 18 year old son having hallucinations? This is just mindblowing to me.
