Finally....Good Customer Service

I took my lunch at Burger King today..... I go in, place my order, and get ready to pay. I pull out my check card and the fella at the register says, "sorry but our credit card machine is down." I turn around to walk out and the guy tells me to hold on. The manager walks over, pushes a couple buttons and says this one is on us. I thought this was awesome. Their equipment wasn't working, and instead of just apologizing and me leaving, they paid for my food. I will make sure I go to that BK before any other.

I am hungry...I am going to eat.

I found myself in a similar situation a few days ago FairFan.

I was in line at a Chinese place in the mall behind a man who was attempting to pay for his food with a debit card even though the place has a few "cash only" signs in plain sight. The seemingly nice Chinese woman behind the counter said this wasn't a problem and let the man have his food for free. Ironically, she then scolded me for taking too many packages of soy sauce. It was an awkward situation to say the least.

Nice....

Pretty cool.

I went to a local cookout sale in Lexington a few Fridays ago (this particular place only does the cookouts in summer, on Fridays) and I got my usual meal. I take it up to pay for it andl the guy that takes the money told me not to worry about paying, since I come every week that I deserved a free one. I thought it was very nice and I will continue to go there every Friday if possible (next summer, since they stopped for this summer already).

OUSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Award has to go to the Berea Taco Bell.

I have had people tell me out of the blue on multiple occassions how friendly and fast they always are, no matter the time or day. I have to agree, eveytime I go there, which isn't that often, they are the nicest I've ever seen.

Well you've told some good.... I'll tell some bad. I was at McDonalds one night after work... This is when I worked night shift and it was 3 AM and it was the only place open... Well, the drive-through was packed but I waited anyways because I was absolutely starved. After about 20 minutes I finally got up to place my order and after telling me they were all out of the first 3 items I attempted to order and wouldn't be cooking any more that night, I order something that is actually available. After that she asks how I'd be paying. I tell her a credit card and she says the machine is broke and I would have to come back later to get my food... No apology or anything.. No sign posted, nothing. Just a "sorry about your luck". I wasn't happy at all.

As far as customer service over the phone goes, I cannot express enough about how great SouthEast Telephone is... As someone who knows all about what is going on behind the scenes, I can say first hand that those people will honestly do anything and everything they can to brighten your day... It may be sending you chocolates, a get well card if you're sick (personally signed by the entire customer care department), or just a friendly chat... Regardless of what is going on and how many calls are in the queue (and I have seen that number get awfully high in the past), they treat every customer as an individual and will talk to them as long as the customer would like. There's nobody standing there rushing you off the phone.

I just wanted to brag on them a little bit, they don't get the credit that they deserve.

Same thing happened to me at McDonalds. I sat in the drive thru about 15 mins only to be told I couldn't have my food when I got to the window because the card machine was down. Most likely they threw the food away because it was a special order already bagged up.

The McDonald's on UL's campus tried going to an "Overnight Menu" for a while, limiting customers to only certain items after like 11 pm...Needless to say, that didn't last very long, as people (mainly college students) demanded they switch it back.

I've seen that before, and wasn't happy with it..
