OUSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Award has to go to the Berea Taco Bell.

I have had people tell me out of the blue on multiple occassions how friendly and fast they always are, no matter the time or day. I have to agree, eveytime I go there, which isn't that often, they are the nicest I've ever seen.

I hate Taco Bell. :creepy:

Same thing at the one in Barbourville. They have the most pleasant, helpful people working the drive thru window that I've encountered at a fast food restaurant.

As far as customer service over the phone goes, I cannot express enough about how great SouthEast Telephone is... As someone who knows all about what is going on behind the scenes, I can say first hand that those people will honestly do anything and everything they can to brighten your day... It may be sending you chocolates, a get well card if you're sick (personally signed by the entire customer care department).

This sounds like an old Lily Tomlin telephone company skit. How does the phone company know I'm sick.

For all you folks using credit cards at McDonald's, what's up with that? Is it convenience, not having to carry so much cash, faster?

I prefer carrying cash, but I rarely have time to make it to the bank to get any out... My bank is about 10 miles out of the way, closer to where I used to work. I need to switch to another one, but I haven't had time to do that either.

On the "customer service" theme - Cincinnati Bell has a great customer service application. When you call in you it will tell you that you can hang up and they will call you back in X number of minutes. You simply give them the number and your name and get the call in X minutes.

Much better than making me wait.

I agree, however, I left due to having to call so many times. My bill was messed up 6 straight months and required many many calls to fix. After the last time I had to cancel and move on and I'm very glad I did.

I use it because its I dont go to the atm to often to get cash and try to used my credit card at any place that takes them so I can save my cash for places that only take cash. Or sometimes I just dont have cash at all on me.

The first time I went to The Pub in Lex, there were a few beer selections on the menu that I had not previously tried (shocking to those who know me I'm sure). I told the waitress I couldn't believe there were still beers out there that I had not tasted. She asked which ones and I pointed them out. She told me to hold on for a few minutes and she'd be right back. Well, she came back soon enough with a 5 oz. sample size of EACH beer I had not yet tried, on the house. Needless to say, I have been back to the Pub many many times since then.

I'm getting to the point where I really prefer the online chat version of customer service.

I took my lunch at Burger King today..... I go in, place my order, and get ready to pay. I pull out my check card and the fella at the register says, "sorry but our credit card machine is down." I turn around to walk out and the guy tells me to hold on. The manager walks over, pushes a couple buttons and says this one is on us. I thought this was awesome. Their equipment wasn't working, and instead of just apologizing and me leaving, they paid for my food. I will make sure I go to that BK before any other.

:thumb: Great post. It proves that there are still some great people left in the world today. Glad you met one today!!!! Pass it on.

I agree with Pepper II the Taco Bell in Barbourville has GREAT People that work there.

Thats awesome, I will say the worste customer service I've ever seen is the McDonald's in Richmond by the interstate (not the one at the mall). I went there four consecutive times at one point and the messed my order up every time, so I never went back. They also gave me a hard time after the third time when I tried to get my chicken sandwich instead of fish.

One time I went to Ruth's Chris with a party of 20 and the bill was well over $1000. I told the manager I bruised my shin playing hockey and he comped the entire thing!

OK, that didn't really happen, but this did: I was in a McDonald's out west with a friend and we had Big Macs. All kidding aside they were the best Big Macs ever! We both commented on how they were better than any other Big Mac we'd ever eaten. Before leaving we asked for the manager to tell him (a nice thing to do as they usually are only requested when someone wants to complain), and the manager asks if we would mind repeating that to his cook. So out comes this 17 yr old kid with a look on his face that says, "Uh oh, Am I in trouble? What did I do?" We tell him how we travel a lot and how those were the best Big Macs we'd ever had and his ear-to-ear grin was priceless. I don't think things like that happen very often to McDonald's cooks!

I do alot of on-line shopping. I recently bought some wheels from a place called GandRAutopartsonline. Got a fair price, great phone service, when the wheels arrived there was a hand written note from the person I talked to along with a little container of mints and a travel mug that looked like it was made out of Diamond Plate.

I don't believe this is good customer service, I believe this is stupid business practices.
