September 30, 200817 yr I don't believe this is good customer service, I believe this is stupid business practices. Debatable- but I bet you FairFan comes back to Burger King (particularly that specific branch) whenever he is the least bit hungry and driving past/near there. Coupled with the fact that Burger King probably lost about $.03 on the transaction (total estimate) I bet they more than made it up.

September 30, 200817 yr I don't believe this is good customer service, I believe this is stupid business practices. On the contrary, they made a loyal customer that day who will, staistically speaking, tell ten more people. In this case, they scored good will from the entire population of BGP. I'd say that is awesome business practice.

If their credit card machine is down and they couldn't tell him in advance it's in their best interest to give him the meal. I had a similar experience in Florence, except they just handed my card back and said "sorry." I don't eat there anymore.

He must not have enjoyed is Triple Whopper enough.

They got lucky that the person they gave a free meal to posts on a message board. So are you saying statistically speaking 1 of every 1 person that enters a Burger King is a member of BluegrassPreps or some other similar online community?

People tell others about their experiences. Unfortunately, I have no friends outside BGP, but predictably FairFan told someone off this site.

September 30, 200817 yr OUSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE: Award has to go to the Berea Taco Bell. I have had people tell me out of the blue on multiple occassions how friendly and fast they always are, no matter the time or day. I have to agree, eveytime I go there, which isn't that often, they are the nicest I've ever seen. I go there every Tuesday and they have really good service. I get my food within a minute or two even at lunch time.
September 30, 200817 yr Unfortunly I work in customer service and i'd say some of the people i've talked to have some bad stories on me, but I have some on them too.

October 1, 200817 yr So are you saying every person that enters a Burger King is a member of BluegrassPreps?Obviously, nobody said that. That's just silly. As for the "telling ten people" stat, that is a well known customer sevice concept that I was taught a long time ago. Fact is, they made a good management call. Plain and simple.
