August 21, 200818 yr We have a party!!! :dancingpa :dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa Let the party begin!!!
August 21, 200818 yr GT, you may have some insight on this question I've been wondering about: Why is there such a difference in the way that Scout and Rivals rank Newton? It's not too uncommon for the two services to maybe rank a player one star different than the other. But Newton is a 5 star with Rivals and 3 star with Scout...what gives?
August 21, 200818 yr Author That means for Uk to get their two QB's they have been chosen over the following schools who have offered: Alabama Texas A&M Auburn Florida Clemson Miami (FL) ..among others

The Rivals national guys don't seem too blown away by the 09 crop of QBs. Plus I think they have Newton in the wrong listing as a pocket QB and not a dual threat. My guess is he'll be a 4 star with a solid SR season...

I read somewhere that he played at a Scout camp, but did not show up to the Rivals camps. So, either Rivals didn't see him enough to raise his eval, or they ranked him low for skipping their camp. These are specualtions only.
August 23, 200818 yr I just saw the drive that Newton threw a TD and I must say when it comes to Newton Jackpot!!!!!!!!!!

August 23, 200818 yr Newton has had a great 1st half. He looks cool under pressure. Kentucky with a QB like that in the future ( injury free ) will step it up a notch IMO. As it goes top receivers like to go to schools with top QB's. UK will get some good add ons with this guy at QB.
August 23, 200818 yr I've been very impressed with Newton thus far...Rocket arm and much more mobile than I previously anticipated. He will be very fun to watch the next couple of seasons...
August 23, 200818 yr Did anyone see his dad get interviewed on the sideline? He was calling for any other recruits on the bubble to jump on board and become a Wildcat. He mentioned a WR. from Delaware. It was great!
August 23, 200818 yr I'd say he's a true pocket qb from the little I've seen. I have to disagree. This kid can move and his numbers show it.
