McCreary is talented.

 

They also won a game in the region tournament a few years ago and barely lost to Boyle, who ended up winning. I think if McCreary wins their first district game and secures a spot in the region tournament, I think they're on their way to the championship. But it all starts at the district.

Rob Jones is a better volleyball coach. He may end up replacing Waters on the girls side when this is all said and done.

Any word on how Watts rehab is going?

rebel man, I don't think you know what was going on behind the scene at BCHS basketball. I think that the kids will play just as hard and with less looking over their shoulder. The unanswered question is the quality of the coaching, but his record in the college ranks would point to him be qualified to get results. I have already seen that he will run the system that will fit his players the best which at times in the last couple of years it was win with man to man defense or nothing. Lets hope for this years team they can come together, learn the system and be a force at tournament time.

 

Are you kidding? Did you NOT watch any Boyle basketball?? Coach Bottoms was a great man coach but he ran a 1-2-2 many times with Carter, Stead and company. Obviously that isn't man is it Jayvee?? Also about the record... You go to the finals of the region how many times over the last few years and how many district championships or runner-up do you have?? I believe you need to rethink your bashing of Coach Bottoms.

His quote was the last couple of years and he is dead on. Carter, Stead and company have been gone for 3 years, Bottoms did run the 1-2-2 with them, but the last couple of years it was man to man. I agree that Bottoms walked into a good situation and got a couple of good transfers. Good luck to the Rebels and coach Adams this season.:thumb:

What about Mercer County I think they will be tough this year they only lose 2 seniors off of last years team and they have a very strong senior class and a very strong sophmore class

Mercer will be very tough with Jamel Taylor and a good group of senior guards who are backed up by talented sophmores. Mercer can cause alot of noise in the 46th if they play together- this team is just another point why the 12th is WIDE open.

Mercer will miss their two seniors from last year, but Mercer has plenty of talent. Coach Cundiff and coach Tatum are class acts, and are good coaches even with all the distractions that they are forced to deal with, hopefully the distractions will ceased to exist!!!

Garrard county scrimmages McCreary County Friday night so we will see how those two teams match up. Garrard should be a force to reckon with this year with Ray, Preston, Woods, Hensley, and Hayes. Whenever their football players make it in they should be ready to play!

McCreary won't even look like itself Friday night because Watts and Roark will still be gone with the Football team and they will be McCreary's B-ball studs this year!:ylsuper:

2 people dont make a team though, it will show other teams that if they shut down those two, McCreary can be beat!

Has anyone ever shut down either of the two? And if they have, they certainly can't do both. McCreary is tops this season in a wide-open region.

Les, do you ever think McCreary will win? Last year was a totally different year and this year has many, many new faces. Talent wise, McCreary is the favorite - no doubt about it.
