August 12, 200818 yr I stayed up for the end of the men's team gymnastics last night. Not too shabby considering two of the guys on the team wouldn't even have made it if the Hamms hadn't both gotten hurt. I'm not wild about gymnastics, but I am in awe of people who can do the rings. I also really liked the crazy highbar routine that Justin Spring did for us. I woke up for the USA-Angola game and promptly realized I shouldn't have bothered. I was far more captivated by the game against China and am really looking forward to our matchup with Greece on Thursday. Well, I have this week off work, so it's back to the television for the kayak finals...
August 12, 200818 yr There has been a lot of talk about hte Chinese women gymnasts possibly not being age 16. Is it just gymnast that are governed by age? They were talking last night about some 14 year old swimmer and the US has 2 divers that are 15. Is there any other Olympic sports that have an age restriction?
August 12, 200818 yr You have to be 16 or older in gymnastics. I believe it the only sport. A few of those girls look no older than 12.
