August 12, 200818 yr Don't the Chinese have a unique way of calculating age? http://www.asia-home.com/china/cncaps.php?lang=en I'm 33, yet according to that link I'm really 35. Strange.
August 12, 200818 yr Author I am 22 said I am 24...seems like everyone is older by that, lol. So...Team Handball is probably my new favorite sport...men or women's. I love it.

August 12, 200818 yr So...Team Handball is probably my new favorite sport...men or women's. I love it. Actually I've watched a lot of the water polo lately, as the US was involved in close games on both the mens and womens sides in the past two days, with China and Italy... I haven't been able to figure out what exactly the position is that plays directly in front of the goalie, but I have been able to determine that the offensive and defensive players in that spot are doing everything but drowning each other for position, and when they get close enough to actually drowning one another, a major foul is called...
August 12, 200818 yr Oh and by the way, no way those girls are 16. Shawn Johnson is face of the US womens gymnastics team and she barely looks 16, but she looks 3 or 4 years older than the Chinese gymnast. An interesting question about the situation I have is however... Why? Do you really think that the 16-20 year old Chinese gymnast aren't as good as the supposed younger gymnast?
August 12, 200818 yr I also really liked the crazy highbar routine that Justin Spring did for us. He and Horton had to have qualified for a few of the individual events...

Younger females are naturally more flexible and pliant than older girls that have completed puberty. Female bodies gain weight during puberty and of course, fill out accordingly. No question that younger gymnasts have a distinct advantage, hence the rule.

No question that younger gymnasts have a distinct advantage, hence the rule. I see your point... I guess my line of thinking was more along the line of the mens gymnastics competition where strength is key rather than just flexibility...
August 12, 200818 yr Author I haven't been able to figure out what exactly the position is that plays directly in front of the goalie I believe the offensive position at least is called a Center. But yeah the water polo is awesome to watch too.
August 13, 200818 yr I always find it funny how during olympic season, I find that I am a fan of sports I would never watch if it wasn't the Olympics. My summer sports are handball, badminton and water polo. My winter sports are bobsled, curling and ski jump.
August 13, 200818 yr Just in spirit... Actually, just physically. Mentally and in spirit I'm still 16....ok....6...but....the Chinese would say 16.
