August 11, 200818 yr Should go down some Monday.. oil fell 4 bucks and continues to decline, 3.00 gas should return Thanksgivingish depending on a conflict with Iran. KY has higher gas tax than OH also. Oil fell 4 bucks and gas at the pump is still the same, let oil go up 4 bucks you would see gas at the pump move up also.Why is that?

Excellent question.. heck just last week it was 3.75 in NKY and 3.60 in Cincy and oil went up a 1.25ish... not much over a dollar and it went up .10 cents on the gallon. Today, after the 4.00 drop it has gone down nothing... that is where the gas stations are getting us some IMO. When oil does fall, it turns into a competition for the stations, who is going to drop there gas the fastest and how much... what you will find is one steady honest gas station who drops it when oil drops, and you will find several who take there sweet time. It dropped again a dollar today, it BETTER go down some tomorrow.

Gas Tax Diesel Tax Kentucky 36.9 39.9 Ohio 46.4 52.4 Source I work in Cincinnati and always buy gas in Cincinnati. It is always cheaper there, regardless where you go. I have been told KY uses "cleaner more expensive gas." Plus, haven't you seen the commerical about the KY democrat senator raising the gas tax yet?
August 14, 200818 yr I guess the stations in Louisville haven't circulated the memo that prices should be dropping. I saw anywhere from $3.79-$3.99 today while in town (most places were $3.89). I paid $3.43 in Bardstown this morning.

Any WK person on BGP or anyone that frequents far WK knows it is ritual to stop at this gas station. It never fails that I know 2 or 3 people inside every time despite being nearly two hours away from home. I guarantee any other WK person will attest to this.

August 17, 200818 yr My daughter went back to Morehead this week, and there is a gas station about 10 min. east of Flemingsburg on Rt. 32 selling for $3.58 a gallon and since the wife now works there in Morehead too they get our business whenever possible. Maysville area just gouges whenever possible imo.
August 21, 200818 yr Gas in ashland is holding around 3.77 a gallon. Dont understand it! There's a refinery in Ashland ,yet our gas is higher than most places in state. It's always about .15 a gallon cheaper in Pikeville. Why?????
