USC in the PAC(thetic) 10 should have the easiset shot at it.

USC has a shot if they beat OSU. I like them to win that one.

I voted for Georgia but I think they have the hardest road with games at Arizona State, Florida, and other SEC games.

There is nothing weak about USC's schedule, nor the PAC-10 itself.

I think a team from the Big East (probably West Virginia) has the best shot. After that, I would say a PAC 10 school (USC) would be close also. Im not saying these are the 2 best teams but they have the best chance to go undefeated, imo! Others like Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan all have tough in conference schedules. Dont get me wrong. West Virginia and USC (who plays Ohio State early) will also have a tough row to hoe to go undefeated but I simply feel like a Big East or PAC 10 team has a better chance than an SEC, Big Ten, or Big 12 team. Either way, its going to be interesting!!!

At the rate things are going. Georgia will be lucky to be able to dress 22 players for the season opener.

I don't think any team will go undefeated this season.

I think WVU has the best shot.

I would agree. The lack of a conference championship game definately helps. Both of their toughest games,IMO, (Aurburn, South Florida) are at home.

And the South Florida game is later in the season when the weather is cooler in Morgantown.

I forgot about South Florida. If they can get past West Virginia, they could conceivably go undefeated. Either way, I think a Big East team has the best shot. However, like a previous poster said, anyone going undefeated isnt really likely. The question was, "who has the best chance"!!!:thumb:

Ohio State...

1) The Big Ten is down.

2) No conference title game.

If Ohio State can beat Southern Cal, I think they have the best odds at going into the bowl season undefeated.

That said, I don't think they or any other BCS school will be undefeated before the bowl season.

Although I think Georgia has the best team, IMHO I think Ohio State will go undefeated.

IMO, yet again for another year, USC is overrated and ranked to high. Look at what they lost, starting on offense. The QB situation at Southern Cal is up in the air. It's between Sanchez ( 69-114, 695 yards, 7 TD's, 5 INT's in 2007 ) and Mitch Mustain, who did have some success at Arkansas in 06', but still has seen zero action as a Trojan.

The Trojans top returning receiver, Patrick Turner, 48 catches, 569 yards, and 3 TD's in 2007.

C.J. Gable is the returning running back, 13 rushes, 143 yards, 0 TD's in 2007.

The defense should be solid again, but will have to make up a lot for the losses on the offensive side. IMO, Ohio State, Oklahoma, UF, Missouri, W. Va, and Clemson should all be ahead of USC. That's just me. But if any team goes unbeaten, it would be between OSU, W. Va, and Georgia/UF.
