I think that either OSU or USC probably has the best chance depending on who wins the Sept. game between the two. I think that the only PAC10 team that may have slight chance at beating USC will be ASU. OSU will have Wisc. and MSU on the road. Penn. St. and of course Michigan although at The Shoe will all imo be tough games.

Will be tough for any SEC team to run the table just bc of the brutal conference they are in. WVU, Pitt and USF imo will all beat one another in the Big East and UC will im also be factor in that conference.

Clemson should be very good in the ACC and possibly could but they have a history of not living up to the pre season billing.

Someone pointed out, with validity, that the lack of a conference championship game favors Ohio State. I hadnt thought about that, but its true. Last season in the SEC, in think Georgia was playing as well as anyone at the end of the year. I cant really remember, but wasnt it the SEC Championship Game the held them out of the BCS championship?? I cant remember what happened there!

Title game is a double edge sword. Last year it hurt Georgia by not playing in it but allowed for a two loss LSU make it. The year before it is why Fla. not Michigan made to the title game. Same can be said for the Big 10 not having a title game. Last year it helped O$U by sitting idle why everyone else lost. The year before it killed Michigan and allowed them to be leaped by Flordia when USC lost to UCLA.

^I don't think the haters will be out at all this season. USC and Wisconsin will put an end to any title hopes by early October IMO.

 

Speaking of Wisconsin, I think they have the easiest path to going undefeated as they get tO$U, Penn State, and Illinois all at home.

 

You could very well be right about Wisconsisn, they will be very good imo.

As for the other comment, we will have to see. That really wouldn't matter though, the OSU haters on here would be the same regardless of the record, it's must what they do best I guess.:thumb:

USC in the PAC(thetic) 10 should have the easiset shot at it.

 

We could get a BGP only team together and go undefeated if we played in the Poop Awful Conference.

I think USC has the best shot. The SEC is just too tough to go undefeated, and I don't think any other teams are good enough. I say the team with the next best chance would be tO$U.

Pac 10 - Had 5 teams with losing records in 2007. 4 Teams with 9 or more wins. 6 bowl teams.

 

Big 10 - 1 Team with a losing record. 5 Teams with 9 or more wins. 7 bowl teams.

I actually agree with everything you said. Although I cannot stand O$U they deserved to play in the last 2 NC games as all they did was win games they were supposed to when no one else did. Illinois in the Rose Bowl was a mistake by the Big 10. Instead of going with the feel good story of Illinos they should have sent a healthy Michigan team to represent the conference. They tied for second in the Big 10 and Michigan beat them in Champaigne without Henne or Hart.

State I look for to be much improved and Michigan can never be counted out. The Big10 is not the best conference in the country but imo it is not the worst either.

By no means do I think the SEC is a bad conference. It may very well be the best the last couple of years. I just think that overall in the last 15 -20 years the Big 10 is the most difficult to compete in every week. I honestly think the SEC will have a disapointing non conference record this year. Peolple that think the SEC is so great forget that Fla, LSU, Ala, Aub, Ga. and every other SEC team has had a stretch of mediocracy over the last 15 yrs just like teams in the Big 10 and every other conference. I will take Mich, O$u, PSU, and Wisc. against any 4 SEC teams on a consistent basis. Not just when the SEC teams are good.

Michigan is propably the fastest team in the Big 10 and has as much speed on their roster as anyone in the SEC, however they are mostly underclassmen and inexperienced. As much as it pains me O$U would beat all the above mentioned teams with the exception of GA and that is a coin flip. Illinois is propably the 5th best big 10 team.
