OSU. They have soooo much returning talent. They're the #1 team in the nation IMO.

IMO, yet again for another year, USC is overrated and ranked to high. Look at what they lost, starting on offense. The QB situation at Southern Cal is up in the air. It's between Sanchez ( 69-114, 695 yards, 7 TD's, 5 INT's in 2007 ) and Mitch Mustain, who did have some success at Arkansas in 06', but still has seen zero action as a Trojan.

 

The Trojans top returning receiver, Patrick Turner, 48 catches, 569 yards, and 3 TD's in 2007.

 

C.J. Gable is the returning running back, 13 rushes, 143 yards, 0 TD's in 2007.

 

The defense should be solid again, but will have to make up a lot for the losses on the offensive side. IMO, Ohio State, Oklahoma, UF, Missouri, W. Va, and Clemson should all be ahead of USC. That's just me. But if any team goes unbeaten, it would be between OSU, W. Va, and Georgia/UF.

 

Stafon Johnson rushed for 673 and Joe McKnight rushed for 540. And Gable avg. 11 yards per carry. I think they will be alright at RB.

SEC is always brutal, so I can't pick one of them. USC has struggled, by their own standards, the last few years.

 

I figure it might be a team that surprises everyone and comes out of the blue again or it wouldn't surprise me if we have a "everybody beats everybody" situation like we had last year. As long as TOSU doesn't get in the National Title game, I will be happy.

I didn't see maybe as an answer. That's the one I'd go with, shoot two might go undefeated, maybe even three. Perhaps none, which will just give the fans, rightly so, another reason to complain about the current system.

There is nothing weak about USC's schedule, nor the PAC-10 itself.

Last season in the SEC, in think Georgia was playing as well as anyone at the end of the year. I cant really remember, but wasnt it the SEC Championship Game the held them out of the BCS championship?? I cant remember what happened there!

Nope. It was a loss to South Carolina, and getting beat down at UT.

 

UT lost to LSU (on a pick returned for a TD) in the SEC title game last year.

USC in the PAC(thetic) 10 should have the easiset shot at it.

 

I'm more of an SEC fan but you have to admit that USC plays a strong schedule year in and year out. Also, I think most experts have the PAC 10 rated as the thrid strongest conference. It really isn't a bad conference.

I forgot about South Florida. If they can get past West Virginia, they could conceivably go undefeated. Either way, I think a Big East team has the best shot. However, like a previous poster said, anyone going undefeated isnt really likely. The question was, "who has the best chance"!!!:thumb:

 

USF is good but they also have a Sept 13 game vs Kansas to worry about.

Ohio State will probaby go un defeated in the regular season only to get spanked by Georgia in the National title game.

Auburn shocks the world.

I think WVU has the best shot.

 

I like WV but before they play South Florida dont forget about Pitt @ Pitt the week before. That will be a tough game and Pitt ruined it for them last year too.

I think that either OSU or USC probably has the best chance depending on who wins the Sept. game between the two. I think that the only PAC10 team that may have slight chance at beating USC will be ASU. OSU will have Wisc. and MSU on the road. Penn. St. and of course Michigan although at The Shoe will all imo be tough games.

Will be tough for any SEC team to run the table just bc of the brutal conference they are in. WVU, Pitt and USF imo will all beat one another in the Big East and UC will im also be factor in that conference.

Clemson should be very good in the ACC and possibly could but they have a history of not living up to the pre season billing.

The Buckeyes are returning 20 of 22 starters I beleive plus another very good recruiting class that includes T. Pryor.

Jim Tressel is one of the very best coaches in the country. Things are definately looking good, I am not making any predictions, we will just have to see how everything goes.

One thing for certain is that the OSU haters (and such a shallow bunch they are....)..(j/k of course ) will be out in full force as well........I Love It!!!:lol:

^I don't think the haters will be out at all this season. USC and Wisconsin will put an end to any title hopes by early October IMO.

 

Speaking of Wisconsin, I think they have the easiest path to going undefeated as they get tO$U, Penn State, and Illinois all at home.
