Not good for the UK offense, two of the three QB's have been arrested in the last week.

 

Curtis Pulley was arrested twice in the last month, now Fidler has been arrested for disorderly conduct.

Does anyone think Rich Brooks will lock Mike Hartline in his dorm room so he'll at least have one guy ready for Louisville?

Still unblievable to me the number of kids that have the talent to play college football and get a scholly along with a free (or almost free) college education then disrespect it, their team, school, coaches and waste it away. This is one of my "soapbox" subject about the arrogance and stupidity of some kids :irked:.

 

Having said that I will say that there are some very good ones as well and imo it is shame that we don't hear more stories about them.

I agree Old Rambler. Maybe if coach Brooks boots one of them off the team it will send a message that this crap won't be tolerated. Kentucky certainly doesn't need to turn into another Penn State or Florida State.

 

Pulley is the one I am most disappointed in. He's already been given multiple chances to get his act together.

I agree with you there. I just don't understand these kids - I mean, you have a golden opportunity - take advantage of it. There are so many kids out there that wish they would have those opportunities. That's why I feel as though when a kid 15 - 19 years old in high school quits his team because the season is going bad or they just don't like what their coaches tell them - thenso be it - see ya and don't come back. These kids have got to realize what they have and in all reality they are young men - so act like it - don't be a disgrace to your team and school and most of all your family.

The sad thing is..................if either of these kids throws a TD pass against Louisville all will be forgotten by most.

Dumb move by Fidler - but to my knowledge this is his first offense. I think we need to draw that distinction between this situation and Pulley. Doesn't make it ok. It was obviously stupid.

There is no mention of intoxication, but the circumstances gotta make one wonder. Hard to believe Fidler just out sober at 2am - and SOBER was dumb enough to get into a fight. Just my purely speculative two cents.

 

If Brooks suspends Pulley and Filder for a game (or more) UK could be in REAL bad shape this season. All it takes is one wrong step and UK might be asking a true freshmen to play QB.

This one doesn't bother me too much. No drugs, no weapons, no history.

 

Stupid yes, and he should be disciplined, but this doesn't necessarily make him a bad guy. Now if he gets in trouble again, it will be a different story.

No - 20... Although that issue reflects primarily on the establishments IMO.

Isn't the Mason kid supposed to be a sleeper for the QB position. Not that anyone really thinks he will be ready, but he may be forced into a backup role faster that anticipated if this doo doo keeps up.

In college I was out a lot at 2am, and never drank anything before I was 21.
