If at some point, the Reds could do what the Brewers are doing, win 7 straight, or what the Mets did, win 10 straight, they would be right in the mix of things. And they have the pitching to run off 7 to 10 wins. Between the injuries and the youth on this team, inconsistent play is somewhat understandable.

He didn't have the hits and RBI production, but his on base percentage was still good because of the walks. Fact is, he is a presence even if he is not hitting. Pitchers fear his home runs and will give others pitches to hit so they are not on base when he comes up.
