When he's hot, he can carry this team. When he is cold, other players need to step up and replace his production. Every player goes through hot and cold streaks.

I just don't think he helps this team by disappearing as much as he does. Sure it's great when he's hot like now. Just too many highs and lows for me. Especially for the guy that drags down as much payroll as he does on a small market payroll.

July 25, 200818 yr He needs to have team mates step up like they do on the other good team in the MLB. It's not his fault they aren't good enough yet. I don't know why you keep beating this dead horse and its a weak argument IMO. Every player in the MLB goes hot and cold at time. Some more than others but thave have guys that picked them up. Dunn hasn't.

Maybe throughout the year but at the end of the season he is gonna have 10-12 wins... Same pretty much with Dunn, he'll be hot and cold but he's gonna hit about .250 and hit 45+ homers and drive in 100 runs...

They can't have him go in the tank like he has for such extended periods of time. They don't have the personel to pick up his slack for that long. Look at who they have on this team. Who do you expect to pick him up? Bruce? no he's a rook JR? hah thats funny Votto? too young BP? He hold his own already, and shines in the field can't see himm doing much more. Catcher? too funny E-5? poor man's Adam Dunn Keppinger? Really you think he should be the one to pick up Dunns slack? Dunn is the guy that they need to produce consistently.
