Track The Reds (Week 17)

Even more reason they can't afford for him to tank. How many RBIs did he have in June? So that makes him what? Tallest of the midgets.

He had 12. Now he is the tallest of the midgets but yet you are putting the majority of the blame on him. Wouldn't that mean his teammates are terrible and can't carry any of the load yet all the blame is placed on him.

So you think it's ok that he goes crazy for a month and then tanks for a month? A month is a long time to not produce.

No, I do not think its okay. When he's hot, he can carry this team. When he is cold, other players need to step up and replace his production. Every player goes through hot and cold streaks.

Plenty of blame has been placed on the arms. I just don't think he helps this team by disappearing as much as he does. Sure it's great when he's hot like now. Just too many highs and lows for me. Especially for the guy that drags down as much payroll as he does on a small market payroll.

The argument for you guys is that you can't replace his production. So what happens for those months he doesn't produce?

He needs to have team mates step up like they do on the other good team in the MLB. It's not his fault they aren't good enough yet. I don't know why you keep beating this dead horse and its a weak argument IMO. Every player in the MLB goes hot and cold at time. Some more than others but thave have guys that picked them up. Dunn hasn't.

You can't replace his production when he is carrying the team. When he is not producing other players must step up and carry the team. He can not carry the team 162 games per year.

How you have this stance with Dunner and feel the exact opposite about Arroyo is comical.

Oh I just like what he had to say the other day. He is probably more inconsistent that Dunn.

But you want to keep him. You say Dunner is inconsistent and makes to much money and want to get rid of him. Doesn't make sense.

I don't think Arroyo is inconsistant... Maybe throughout the year but at the end of the season he is gonna have 10-12 wins... Same pretty much with Dunn, he'll be hot and cold but he's gonna hit about .250 and hit 45+ homers and drive in 100 runs...

Look. All I've heard is "you can't replace his numbers" but yet that is what you are asking to happen so far for half of this season. They can't have him go in the tank like he has for such extended periods of time. They don't have the personel to pick up his slack for that long. Look at who they have on this team. Who do you expect to pick him up?

Bruce? no he's a rook

JR? hah thats funny

Votto? too young

BP? He hold his own already, and shines in the field can't see himm doing much more.

Catcher? too funny

E-5? poor man's Adam Dunn

Keppinger? Really you think he should be the one to pick up Dunns slack?

Dunn is the guy that they need to produce consistently. If he doesn't, it hurts them.

You forgot another constant. the Reds will be watching in October.

Like I said, I just like the passion he spoke with the other day about being part of a winning team here, and he would really be dissappointed if he were moved. I really don't care if he stays. They do have some impressive young starters.

I don't think you'll find a post by me saying "you can't replace his numbers" so you can go talk to someone else about that. It didn't help that no one else on the team was hitting either. It wasn't just Dunn.

Adam Dunn has said many times that he wants to stay in Cincinnati and be part of a winning ball club here.
