Was the final score 14-6 or 14-8? According to some information I have that I used for http://www.highlands-bluebirds.com, the final was 14-8. Was it actually 14-6???

Ram, I think Belfry's running backs went through several jerseys each. I'm not sure of the exact number, but it was a few.

I would like to get a copy of this game. Belfry filmed their games on 8mm (reel to reel) at the time and I think I know who has their copy of the film. I'd like to get it made into a DVD, if it still exists.

 

Does anyone at HHS have access to their films? Does one exist that could be made into a DVD?

I have another question for HHS faithful that I have wondered about ever since hearing stories about this game.

 

During that era, how did the visiting teams generally get access to the locker room upon first arrival?

 

Did they park the bus outside the big gate and have to walk through the school to get to it? Or were they allowed to drive down the entrance and enter the locker room from field level?

As long as I've been attending Highlands games, I have never heard of an opposing team being able to drive their buses to field level. They have always parked opposing team buses on Ave of Champions which is no longer around. I do have one of the original Ave of Champions Street signs my father-in-law found on the side of the road:sssh:

They walk down the driveway onto the field. From there, they go to the locker rooms.
