July 10, 200818 yr Author I'd take almost anything at this point...The bottom line is no one really wants Dunn. He's reaching Bonds like status on the unwanted level.
July 10, 200818 yr He's also a potential cancer in the clubhouse unless he changes his ways. Wow!!! Are you sure you're talking about the same player? I've never hear anything but postive things about Youkilis.
July 10, 200818 yr Trade Dunn are you kidding me... did you see him flash that leather in left field last night ????
July 10, 200818 yr He's reaching Bonds like status on the unwanted level. Why would a team want a guy who hits .230 and strikes out a bazillion times a year....I think most teams would rather have Bonds.

July 10, 200818 yr Author Wow!!! Are you sure you're talking about the same player? I've never hear anything but postive things about Youkilis. Me too...He just seems to be a down to earth nice guy. Every team has players that get mad at each other, most of the time it's because the passion of winning is so strong. Nothing more nothing less. Youk is a great clubhouse guy and is probably up there with Varitek as the leaders of that club.

Varitek, Youkilis, Lowell and Big Papi are the glue that holds the Sox together.
July 10, 200818 yr Author Well after not getting a hit in any of the 3 games against the Dodgers until at least the 6th inning the Braves really need to upgrade their LF position.
July 10, 200818 yr Author Mariner's release Richie Sexson. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20080710&content_id=3106433&vkey=pr_sea&fext=.jsp&c_id=sea&partnerId=rss_sea

July 10, 200818 yr I'd take almost anything at this point...The bottom line is no one really wants Dunn. I am not sure of the rules but Cutler says that Dunn leaves as FA at the end of the season and you get two first round picks. Isn't that better than "anything?"
July 10, 200818 yr Wow!!! Are you sure you're talking about the same player? I've never hear anything but postive things about Youkilis. Isn't this the same guy who just got into a scuffle with ManRam for throwing his bat after getting an out? Seems I heard that many were tired of his shenigans after he made an out.

He's one of the most well-liked and respected players on the team. Do you think maybe, just maybe that all the emotion from the bench clearing brawl earlier in the game that led to 8 suspensions might have had everyone's nerves a little raw?
July 10, 200818 yr Author Barry Bonds' agent Jeff Borris makes it clear that none of the 30 teams are interested in his client: "I am not talking to any club about Barry Bonds, because they all made it very clear to me they are not interested in him. Every club. I can't believe he doesn't have a job. No one has offered even the minimum salary. He made the All-Star team last year, and there's no reason to believe he wouldn't have a repeat performance in 2008, except for the conspiracy against him."

I've always defended Bonds but this statement by his agent, is ludicrous. He would certainly generate an increase in season tickets but his knees, don't allow him to be average in the field any more. The only chance I see, is a DH role in the AL. As for the "conspiracy", well either did little to help their public persona, over the last several years. As some owners, care about the bottom line, others care more about winning championships, at all cost. I think no one acquiring Bonds, speaks volumes about him.
