July 26, 200818 yr Yes and Yes. But, I would rather have the lesser paid, younger closer. He has TONS of upside, and will get his form back. Don't forget, Cordero has struggled also this year. He's velocity has been down quite a bit too.

July 27, 200818 yr The Sox are kinda stuck, unless he agrees. He is a 10-5 guy. Manny now say's, he won't object to trade. "I don't have any preferences: I could choose a team that offers me the best conditions or one in the chase for the postseason. I don't care where I play, I can even play in Iraq if need be. My job is to play baseball," added Ramirez. Can someone start a Team in Iraq??? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3507249
July 28, 200818 yr One of my friends who played ball in Ohio and his best friend was a catcher at UC said that Youkillis was arrogant as well, very cocky. He said they would be out and people would mess with him, he would say, "you are out, you won't see any of my money". Arrogant or accurate?

July 31, 200818 yr Author The 3-team trade with Boston, Pittsburgh and the Marlins is apparently dead...IF a deal is to be done it's going to be through Boston and Florida only...Right now they say it's a 50-50 chance of happening... With the Pirates out of the talks that could make way for the Braves to come in and get Jason Bay...I really like his style of play and think he could really help solidify LF and give them a good bat..

Look for Bay to Tampa if the deal is dead. The Dodgers are trying to get in on the Manny/Florida deal...
July 31, 200818 yr Manny deal is almost dead. Rays are backing off of Dunn trade because it would make their line up too lefty. Go figure. That and the Jays are more interested in Jason Bay.
July 31, 200818 yr Author To be honest, I hope Manny stays in Boston. Even if it isn't traded today they said there is about a 1% chance he finishes the season with Boston!
