He is under team control through 2010. Would you rather trade Cordero and his salary and have Street through 2010 in order to make immediate upgrades with Cordero's salary or do ypu just want to keep the Milton salary that Cordero has straddled the team with

Doesn't Cordero have a no trade clause, and hasn't Street really struggled with the A's this year?

Yes and Yes. But, I would rather have the lesser paid, younger closer. He has TONS of upside, and will get his form back. Don't forget, Cordero has struggled also this year.

Manny Ramirez has punched his ticket out of Boston, writes Dan Shaughnessy, and the Red Sox plan to do something about it soon. Steve Buckley wonders if today is the day the Red Sox will bounce Ramirez out to the pavement. Boston's relationship with Ramirez may have reached a tipping point, writes Sean McAdam.

What could they do?

Shoot I'd trade him...You know there is a team that wants him and anything is better than just letting him walk...I'm sure they can get something

Yeah, I doubt he'd agree too, because I mean the Red Sox are on top and they've got another great chance of winning the WS...Why agree to leave?

Anthony Reyes traded from the Cardinals to the Indians for a minor leaguer.

Jarrod Washburn to the Yankees is reported as being a done deal...

Also Braves are interested in acquiring Jason Bay...If they end up winning today (currently leading Phillies 9-3 in the 5th) then I expect them to really push hard for a big bat in LF.
