  • I never pay attention to gas prices as it doesn't impact my life in any way. Meaning, I'm going to drive to and from my job, gym, etc. But I did read last week that prices should start to ease their w

$2.61 Costco Florence this morning.

$2.74 Shell Edgewood this morning.

Funny in looking at the price of oil, that it really does not have the bearing on the price at the pump as we have been told it has.

Gas stations who were able to wait for the next batch of gas would save around $750-$1000. Hopefully, that .20 to .30 cent drop is soon passsed onto us.

Ours in Bardstown has dropped in recent days to around $2.59-$2.64.

Filled up at the Speedway in Alexandria for $2.96 thinking that would be the norm.

Drove two miles farther north and gas was $2.82.

Thinking I must have just missed a price adjustment, I noted on the return trip that those price differentials were still in effect.

Kroger in cold spring was $2.79 and I drove past several that were near $3.00.

Plus I had .40 off per gallon. Truck was bone dry. Put 3 gallons in a gas can and when it stopped at 35 gallons the truck was still not full!!

When oil falls we see the real definition of capitalism from our local gas stations.

For those of you in N. Ky., Sunday will be a good day for gas prices. The reformulated gas requirement ends on Sunday July 1. You should see a drop of about .20 a gallon Sunday or soon after. N. Ky. prices then should be in line with what you see in Cincinnati.

From what I have seen over the past week or so it looks like Northern Kentucky gas prices are now in line with Cincinnati prices.
