I just do my Makers straight, maybe an ice cube or two but that's as close to a mixed drink as I'll get.

Sounds Perfect. Makers with a splash of Makers.

I also like:

Gin and Cherry or Lemon Lime Kool Aid(different but I like it all the same)

007- Bacardi O, Orange Juice, 7Up

And on the wild side...

Malt Liquor(Straight from the 40oz.) and Grape Faygo Soda.

Mine has got to be a LIT... but I enjoy Captain and Diet Coke too. LIT's have got me in trouble a few times, haha

Yea, my best LIT story happened at Nick's in Murray while I was in college, standing on a bar stool calling some guy out for accusing me of stealing his quarters off the bar and then shoving him to the ground:lol:

Let me know when you are going to try some of those beers, I'd like to tag along with you!

My favorite mixed beverage would be a mojito (made with 10 Cane Rum) or an Ameretto Sour with a splash of Sprite and a splash of grenadine. YUMMY.

Love Mojitos...tough to find a good one around here.

Cuban...Caribbean drink that is becoming more mainstream in the States.

Killed them with some Dos XX in Mexico two years ago and am returning to Mexico in a couple of weeks.

Can already envision spitting the mint bits out....

Woodford and a splash of water on the rocks...

Woodford is good...you drink with pinky extended?

Woodford for the uppity crowd...not as much as Blanton's but up there.

Bourbon and a Diet Coke is a staple for football games in October and November...and August and September...

Has anyone tried Old Pogue Bourbon?

Distilled in Maysville starting in 1869...ceased production when Prohibition hit the States.

It has been recently revived and is back on the market...not sure when it was reintroduced, but had some on a recent trip to Maysville.

Very very good.

No need for the pinky.

Mostly a beer guy, but if I go bourbon I simply enjoy Woodford the most.

Me uppity?

Orange Stoli on the rocks.

Gray Goose on the rocks or with diet coke.

Coconut rum with a splash of pineapple juice if I am near a beach.

In the winter time (which seems like all the time here), I like a few shots of Dr. McGillicuddy peppermint schnapps.
