June 17, 200818 yr Throw Affeldt in the rotation until Fogg gets back. 9 games out of the wild card, and I still don't believe in the Cardinals to continue their winning ways. I'm not giving up on the season just yet. Slipping back into the Fogg is the key to getting into playoff contention?
June 17, 200818 yr From CTR... Josh Fogg went 5.1 innings last night for the Sarasota Reds, allowed two runs on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Both runs scored after he left the game. His next scheduled start would be Saturday. I don't think it'll be at Ft. Myers.

June 17, 200818 yr Slipping back into the Fogg is the key to getting into playoff contention? I won't say that but he is the best option the Reds have right now. He hasn't been given the opportunity to start every 5th day the way he should have. He went 1-2 and was thrown to the bullpen b/c of a couple bad starts. When out there consistently he can be a solid number 5 starter. The key to getting back into contention falls on Arroyo and Harang pitching the way they have in the past.

First off, Jocketty said they'd make a decision on Homer and the rotation "in the next day." But more than that what I thought was interesting was Marc asked him about "untouchables" with th team and Jocketty listed five: Jay Bruce, Johnny Cueto, Edinson Volquez, Joey Votto and Edwin Encarnacion. I was surprised by Encarnacion, but vey interesting.
