Track the Reds (Week 12)

Phillips is my favorite Red right now, but if the deal is right, you move him...

Isn't the "if the deal is right" qualifier true for every player?

Where would you say, he should hit in the lineup?

I'd have him in the 3 hole in place of Junior. Dunn 4, Votto 5, Griffey 6.

Think GT is saying, not 1 player is bigger than the Team is all.

I got that and I agree.

I guess another way of asking is "is there a player you would NOT trade no matter what the deal was?"

The obvious answer is no.

Bruce will be in the 3 hole for years to come. You can't lead the Team in double plays and hit 3rd.

I got that and I agree.

Yes, three of them.

Bruce...

Disagree.

Now you're most likely correct that they might not get an offer that would move them but there is no blanket statement that no matter what , you won't trade Bruce(or any player).

At this stage there is no price big enough to pry away Bruce. Sure it could change over time, but right now? No deal...

Hopefully he get a few hits for ya tonight.

The Rays are on the phone. They want (fill in the name of any of the 3) and they're willing to give you Kazmir, Navarro, Upton, and your pick between Tim Beckham and David Price and you say "no?"

Let's be realistic here ...

Or the D-Backs on the phone: Webb, Haren and S. Drew for Bruce. Not that the D'Backs would venture into those waters, but I guess there is always some hypothetical deal out there that you would have to consider regardless of which "untouchable" you are talking about.

Being a Reds fan one thing I love about this organization is the way the give tributes to people. They are the best in baseball when it comes to that stuff.
