Big two out single by EE to knock in 2 runs. A very impressive debut by Thompson. How many teams will be vying for the services of Arroyo over the next month?

Well I guess that will keep Patterson in the starting lineup for the rest of the road trip.

Great, now we'll be stuck with CMFP the rest of the year ...

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I think they said that was Patterson's 100th career home run.

Which means just 50 more years and he will crack 700.

And to think a few weeks ago I was getting chastised by some Reds fans here for daring to question Dusty Baker's usage of Corey Patterson ... I guess you guys have finally come around.

Yes, very big 2 out hit. Thanks goes out to the Yanks pitcher who threw BP's taylor made DP ball away. And then Votto hits into the FC to put runners on 2nd and 3rd 1out. Dunn looked lost, and K's again. Very big hit by EE.

Great job by Thompson today. Once he gained confidence in his change up, it was on.

The Reds are now 22-23 against Teams .500 or better. 13-18 against Teams below .500.

They are 9-12 against Teams they have played who are division leaders.

Boston 1-3

Philly 3-5

Cubs 3-3

Arizona 2-1

Geez. You still don't get it. You were being chastised for brining it up every game. Everyone already was, and still is of the opinion that Corey shouldn't be playing.

Not every game, just fairly regularly ... and besides, I was right. And my opinion was challenged, in part, because I'm supposedly a "disgruntled Cubs fan" ...

In any case, pardon me for continually being right about something ... I guess pointing it out makes me a bad guy.

The thought of these young arms being as good as they have looked so far gets me all giddy inside. They could be the next 90's Braves rotation.

* please note the bold "could"

I'm so glad to be back from vacation to see Corey Patterson in the lineup. The Reds desperately need his bat in the lineup.:rolleyes: I noticed that Hopper was activated, and went 2-5 in a start while I was gone. I guess that wasn't good enough to earn playing time over Dusty's favorite player. :irked:

:thumb: I certainly agree. Also, not just with his "love" of Patterson and I will say that with a few other moves/decisions the more that I see of Dusty the less I like him.

This Reds teams for the first time in quite a while has a nucleus of young players that are showing promise and the future is starting to look brighter. I hope that they keep them and do not mess this up like has been done so many time through the years before.

This was an enjoyable game for me to watch. Red vs. Yankees, my two favorite teams :ylsuper:.
