June 21, 200818 yr Maybe it's time to see if CMFP can play some SS. Seems to be an instant trip to the DL... We just aren't that lucky. Would I be considered an awful person for hoping that CMFP suffers a career ending knee injury that he fully recovers from, but can never play baseball again?

June 21, 200818 yr Who plays 2B? Someone said earlier that you move Phillips to SS and play Keppinger at 2B until he gets his legs back under him. That seems like the best option to me.

He has gone 6-2 with a 2.22 ERA in 14 starts at both Louisville and Double-A Chattanooga after pitching at Single A in 2007. Yankees starter Dan Giese (1-1, 1.23) has slightly more experience than Thompson, but also will be making his first major league start. June 21, 200818 yr I'm so glad to be back from vacation to see Corey Patterson in the lineup. The Reds desperately need his bat in the lineup. :rolleyes: I noticed that Hopper was activated, and went 2-5 in a start while I was gone. I guess that wasn't good enough to earn playing time over Dusty's favorite player. :irked:
June 21, 200818 yr No, that does not answer the question at hand. The question was: How many others in the league will hit 40 HR, drive in 100+ RBI and draw 100 walks? Showing Dunn's stats over the past 30 games does not answer the question, nor does it give an accurate representation of his season stats. Ok I'll bite. Even if the answer is none, who cares. Those numbers, thrown in with all of his other stats do not equate to a must have player. If they did he either would have been traded (no one else wants him) or he would be on Jock's untouchable list. Either way you slice it, he will not be part of the next Reds playoff team. Write it down! Also showing his stats for the last 30 days is a great snapshot to his inconsistency, which hurts this club immensley. Dunn lovers really have nothing to hang their hats on other than 40/100/100. They just don't seem to care abouth the team as a whole. If they did they would realize that those awesome numbers do not equate to having a winning club.
