May 24, 200818 yr When is the last time you saw a team with as poor a baserunning IQ as this Reds team? I think Freel is a big part of that. Get him out of here and things like that don't happen near as much.
May 24, 200818 yr The Reds are 9-3 when Dunn homers, including a 7-1 mark in May. Reds starter Bronson Arroyo (2-4, 6.02 ERA), who appears to have settled down after a rocky first month. The right-hander had an 8.63 ERA through seven starts, but is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in his last three outings. Arroyo gave up five runs - three earned - in five innings of the Reds’ 6-5 loss at the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday. He’s 2-4 with a 4.19 ERA in six career starts against the Padres. San Diego will counter with left-hander Wilfredo Ledezma (0-1, 3.54), who hasn’t yet pitched in a Padres win. The club is 0-10 in games in which the left-hander has appeared, including two starts. Ledezma was reached for four runs in four innings of an 8-2 loss to St. Louis on Monday. In one career relief appearance against Cincinnati, he gave up four runs in 2 1-3 innings. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/preview;_ylt=AsU689NXYQQLjj0luKjHwjDbzYd4?gid=280524125

May 24, 200818 yr Author The Reds have sold the contract of minor league RHP Justin Lehr to the Doosan Bears of the Korean Professional League. It will be interesting to see if Thompson gets promoted to Louisville.
May 25, 200818 yr The Reds have sold the contract of minor league RHP Justin Lehr to the Doosan Bears of the Korean Professional League. Why would they do that?
May 25, 200818 yr Author Why would they do that? They are running short on maple bats. Seriously, I think Lehr had some sort of stipulation in his contract if he wasn't called up by a certain date.
May 25, 200818 yr They are running short on maple bats. Seriously, I think Lehr had some sort of stipulation in his contract if he wasn't called up by a certain date. Lehr has some major league experience and he's been pitching well for Louisville. This isn't an uncommon transaction. A lot of veterans stuck in Triple-A (usually hitters) get lucrative offers from Japan.
May 25, 200818 yr ^ Well if Dunn can hit 100 homers, they may be in the hunt is Sept:D So, you agree then, that Dunner is not the problem?:sssh::lol:
