Sully is a great guy that has an incredible passion for the game and love for the kids.

Holmes has a full staff of head coaches IMO. Sullivan will do a great job out there and get that program up and running.

Sullivan like the young Mike Reitz of coaching,just goes from one job to the next with no rhyme or reason, except maybe the 'grass is greener' concept. St. Pat to Mason County. Mason to Holmes. Holmes to Cooper,etc. May be good coach, but seems more like a poser to me

I believe that there is plenty of rhyme or reason that Timmy came back to Northern Kentucky, family. There is no doubt that Timmy will be a great head coach do a great job at Cooper.

Poser? Very classless post IMO. Sullivan was a Holmes grad and has family in nky. St Pat was a coaching opportunity so he took it. Mason Co was a great step toward getting a head coaching position so he took it to learn from the best. The Holmes position came along and he took it since it's his alma mater and he wanted to work with the young kids and help develop them. Also Henley isn't a bad coach to learn from and IMO is one of the top 5 in the state.

 

So when a HEAD COACHING position comes along why wouldn't he take it? Isn't that the idea...keep building your resume by being a JV coach to eventually take over a head coaching position?

Not much at all. If I'm not mistaken, I think a kid by the name of Cooper Downs? may end up there thats a talented freshman to be but other than that, I don't expect Cooper to be competitive.

The is the most false post I have ever read. I can't speculate on the move from St. Pat to Mason, but I think 99.9 percent of coaches would make that move. He moved from Mason to Holmes, due to his new marriage and now goes to Cooper to become a varsity head coach. Cooper is very very lucky to have Coach Sullivan.

Cooper will be very very lucky to have Coach Sullivan for 2 years until the next BBJ(Bigger-better-job)comes along. I know Coach Sullivan has his many fans here,as is obvious, and from what everyone says here he is a good coach,but after watching him at Saint Pat. and Mason, just came off as too loud and animated for me. Not slamming the guy or anything, just a difference of opinion from all the posters of this thread is all. Good luck to Cooper High and Coach Sullivan.

His dad (Todd) is the JV coach at Boone County. Why would he go to Cooper? Has his dad applied for the JV job?
