I will be o-kay...I know this isn't going to be a pleasant operation and I know the recovery will hurt like heck but I will get through it just fine.

 

I just wish they'd come and get me....I am about to drive me and everyone around me crazy.,

My mother was scheduled for a heart cath at Central Bap. at 7:am this morning.. They haven't taken her back yet... Hang in there...

I've been through 3 heart cath's, 1 full fledged heart attack, and triple bypass with my dad and he is still going...Hang in there!

My thoughts and prayers are with you RebelK. I pray for a fast recovery.:thumb:

Just checking in to see if there was any word, have added the get well wish avatar for "Special K" RebelK.

I just spoke with "Mr. RebelK." From what I understand, they didn't come for her until somewhere around 2:30 or 3:00 p.m. They had told her it would be around 8 or 9 a.m.!

 

He said the procedure could run until 9 or 10 p.m. this evening -- or later. I told him to call (if possible) whenever he heard something, or if he just needed to talk. But it could be late tonight before I know anything more.

 

He did say that RK was in amazingly good spirits and had a very positive outlook. As he put it, she was "just being RebelK!" I assured him that many BGPers we're thinking of and praying for her. He was happy to hear that and promised to pass it on to RK when he could.

 

Well, that's all I know for now. She's in the hands of some skillful surgeons and a loving God.

Just to clarify, RebelK is having a triple bypass. Commando's mom had a cardiac catheterization today -- ironically, at the same hospital.

Loving Father, guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, RebelK may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around her. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

 

 

O merciful Father, who have wonderfully fashioned man in your own image, and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit, sanctify, we pray you, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation your Son became Man, lived on this earth, healed the sick, and suffered and died on the Cross. Amen.

Ok, my mom had a quadruple bypass, years ago, so I hope and pray that everything turns out as well as it did with my mom.
