May 12, 200818 yr After watching some of O-Joke's videos his senior year and the way he carried himself at times on the court didn't surprise me one bit that someone is accusing him of taking money. This kid was all about himself and himself only!!!! This kid isn't going to travel all the way to Cali if there wasn't something in it for him.
May 12, 200818 yr If USC is found guilty in this allegation and the allegations on Reggie Bush, how severe will their punishment be? I do believe that OJ received gifts while a Trojan, and that Bush did as well. With that said, I'm sure USC isn't the only school dishing out what they can.
May 12, 200818 yr On a related note, if they strip HHS of the title, PPat and the other teammates will lose out, too. That really would stink for them. I know he will likely go on to bigger and better things, but HS state titles are pretty special.

Guillory (sp?) lives 8 miles from the USC campus. That's the reason for going out there. And I'm sure Guillory promised to take care of OJ (financially) while he was out there. But as OJ, the Pac 10, USC, and the NCAA said, they heavily checked his amateurism before he came and while he was enrolled and saw no wrong-doings so I guess us speculators will just have to wait to see if anything else is uncovered. It's hard to prove since the money was never directly given to OJ but rather given to friends of OJ. Same thing, yes I know, but as long as it's not directly given to him, nothing can be proved as far as money goes. When it comes to the clothes and TV, that could just be a long time friend (Guillory) doing something nice for OJ since he's so far away from home. I'm sure if it's proven OJ and Guillory will use that excuse.
May 12, 200818 yr I don't know anything much about OJ's parents or that whole situation, but its sad when you have a young guy like that who is being taken advantage of so badly. We are talking about stuff that started in his early teens. Its a shame he didn't surround himself with people who care about him solely and not try to ride his coat tails to fame and fortune. I know of this happening (maybe not to this extent) way too much.

May 12, 200818 yr The "O.J. Pay O" act has been a circus from Jr. high. Started as a 7th grade jr. high kid living in West Virginia, playing in Kentucky then to go to Ohio, Was turned down at a Va. School (Oak Hill), back to Ohio and then back to West Virginia. Then to USC and to the home of the Pete Carroll Reality Co. and Reggie "Cash" Bush and now the Floyd lottery. (They don't call it La La land for nothing, lol) I felt that originally that people (AAU coaches and others) were using this kid as a pawn. I actually felt for the "kid", I do not feel for him now in that imo he knew exactly what he was doing. There comes a time and it definately came for Mayo that he was of age and old enough to make his own decisions. He made these decisions as an adult. Mayo and USC are to blame as well as some others involved in this. JMO One thing that amazes me is that Mayo has imo obviously took a deal for around 30K when he had millions waiting on him in the NBA. Great decision making there. I don't guess USC was ever known as an academic institution, LOL.
