May 8, 200818 yr … Well, it's not what you think. The "economic stimulus package" arrived in my bank account earlier this week. I had planned to use it to get the copy of XP and the other part I needed to get my home computer back up and running again. Unfortunately, as is usually the case with me, something that should be relatively easy to remedy has been wrought with roadblocks and potholes, making it now a month since I've had a working computer at home. So after being met with frustration yesterday at the E'town Best Buy in my efforts to find a new, full version of Windows XP and a power converter from an IDE hard drive to a SATA, I decided to throw up my hands and get a new computer. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough yesterday to get what I wanted, but I'll do so next week when the big paycheck comes in. In the meantime, to do my patriotic duty (and to ease the frustration of STILL not having a computer to use at home), I bought a whole bunch of CDs. Consider the economy stimulated!

May 8, 200818 yr In "protest" to the economic stimulus package, I will be spending my rebate in the one way it was definitely not intended. This summer I will be stimulating the British and Irish economies when I travel across the pond for my sister-in-law's wedding!!

May 8, 200818 yr I am a college student and worked full time most of 2007. In fact, I had to pay taxes for 2007. However, I dont get a rebate check because I am in school. I dont get it at all. College age kids would go out and spend the money too in the ecomony. However, people that do not work and are on disability get the check and they didn't even work in 2007. What do you all think of this?
