Your vitriolic response pretty much sums up how some are so extreme in their passion that they can't see any possible mistake by those they support.

 

It's comical in that you can turn the names around and see this same response from Democrats who bashed the Republicans that criticized Bill Clinton at every turn. Only then it was the Dems backlash versus the GOP's condemnations.

We would not have been in Iraq had Bush not been elected. This whole war was thought up by Bush's cronies back in the mid 1990's as some great geo-political experiment. It was thought up by people with no inkling of the realities of war and of the world. As soon as Bush got elected, the Iraq war was being planned. After 9/11 General Wesley Clark was talking to one of his buddies in the pentagon who stated that eventhough there was no link between 9/11 and Iraq, the administration would make a link. Iraq would be attacked. We went there on lies, 4,000+ soldiers have died and countless Iraqis. We're bankrupting our country and wearing out our military capabilities. Now the Pres and his ilk are starting to talk about Iran and trying to drum up support for a strike on Iran. It's like some sick game to them. We're not any safer now than we were on 9/10/01 and we're bogged down in a needless war when the people who struck us on 9/11 are sitting pretty in Pakistan and the Taliban is regrouping in Afghanistan.

 

A president having an affair is wrong but none of my business. If you honestly think that kids who were 5-6 years old when Clinton was having an affair are using that as an excuse to be promiscuous then you're ignorant. Kids have always been messing around and always will. A president getting a little something on the side did not get a single soldier killed.

There was also some good intelligence, in terms of some evidence that Saddam had no stockpiles of WMD. The administration chose to ignore it because it wanted to beat the drums for an invasion.

 

I don't see why "we would have been there by now anyway" ... Iraq wasn't involved with 9/11, and Saddam wasn't allied with Al-Qaeda.

You are right. In one case, the allegations were proven and a president paid to settle a lawsuit, was impeached, and was then disbarred.

 

In the other case, a president has pursued a foreign policy that had broad bipartisan support until liberal Democrats decided to undermine the war effort for political gain.

 

We lost the Iraq War months ago. Harry Reid said so.
