May 2, 200818 yr So a $2 dollar straight exacta or straight trifecta bet would just cost 2 dollars, whereas a $2 exacta box bet with 3 horses would cost you $6. Am I right? When you place any bet, you are betting on each possible combination. In your scenario, $6 would be a $1 bet. A $2 exacta box bet with 3 horses would cost $12. May 2, 200818 yr I have not yet decided on who I will bet on just yet though I can tell you it will not be Pyro do to his flop in the Bluegrass and it will not be Big Brown because he has only run in 3 races and is coming from the 20 hole. I actually expect the winner of the race to pay at least $ 30 or more to win. Someone told me last week that a Derby winner has never finished worse than 4th in their final prep race for the Derby. This begins to eliminate quite a few I believe.
May 2, 200818 yr Author So how much would a Trifecta Box with 4 horses cost? 24$ for a dollar bet. 4x3x2=24

No horse had won the Breeders Cup Juvenile and the Derby until Street Sense did last year. Horse racing has changed in a variety of ways, you have to bet the best horse and not worry about what history says.
May 2, 200818 yr I have been reading a lot of people picking Colonel John. For you all that get to Oaks Day, play Honest Pursuit in 2nd race.
May 2, 200818 yr BIG BROWN, PYRO AND COLONAL JOHN. WITH BIG BROWN WINNING AND MAKING FIRST HORSE FROM POSITION 20 TO WIN THE DERBY. JD

May 2, 200818 yr Big Slick- Thanks for the tip, but that race was run 58 minutes before your post.:lol::lol:
May 3, 200818 yr Pyro is a flop. I'm telling you guys, stay away from Pyro. While you have better chances of that happening. I am sold and am throwing out his Bluegrass. He has been VERY impressive for his entire career, with the exception of the Bluegrass.
