Just looking over the DRF this morning a few horses have wins of a sloppy surface. Visionaire, Smooth Air and Denis of Cork have wins over a sloppy track. May want to keep an eye on those 3. Also if the track is a mess it would help the speed horses out because it will be harder for the closers to make up ground.
May 3, 200818 yr I think at worst the track rating will be good pat post time of the Derby...the sun is coming out, and the wind has picked up, which only helps dry out Churchill, which is also known as one of the fastest drying tracks in North America.
May 3, 200818 yr While you have better chances of that happening. I am sold and am throwing out his Bluegrass. He has been VERY impressive for his entire career, with the exception of the Bluegrass. He's not a flop, but he raced much better at 2 than at 3. I agree the BGStakes was a highly unusual race for many entries.
May 3, 200818 yr Gayego's pp at 19 is conducive, and Monba has run well on clodded track. I see them both in the money. I think Colonel John is going to get muscled by Pyro and Z Humour out of the gate and may not be a factor.

May 3, 200818 yr Me and a friend went in together an have a couple tickets today. Have a tri box with court vision, z fortune, big truck, visionaire, pyro, and colonel john. Have another tri box with Pyro on top of court vision, z fortune, visionaire, monba, and adriano. One last tri box with Colonel john on top of eight belles, tale of ekati, big truck, bob black jack, and court vision.
