They have to at least play him in center the rest of this year. When Griffey is gone, they move him to right next year. I figure they keep Dunn. Bruce may not be a leadoff hitter, but everyone else sucks, so might as well try him there. Maybe in the off season with Griffey gone and Bruce in right, the Reds can make that move for Lofton. It's obvious now, with him, they wouldn't be struggling like this. :lol:

I've never liked like the philosophy of refusing to eat ink, even though eating it might be best for the ball club. Run Miltie out every fifth day just b/c you owe him 9 bills ...or keep C.P.23 Mendoza just b/c you made a 3.5 M mistake... Then again, it's not my greenbacks thats being forked over. Kuo is making his first career appearance against the Reds. He will square off against Edinson Volquez (2-0, 1.17), who gave up one run in five innings of Thursday’s 9-2 win over the Chicago Cubs.

 

Volquez, who threw 112 pitches, has failed to go more than 5 1-3 innings in his three starts this season, but has allowed only two total runs.

When I first read your post, I was a tad confused. Then when I re-read the preview, I saw it and started laughing.

12% of the season gone. Still early. I believe they are better than last year, only because of the pitching. The on the field guys are basically the same. Lose 9-3 and everyone points at Belisle and Fogg. Fact of the matter is 3 runs does not win many games.

Here are the core players from the last couple of seasons. Either they are good enough or they are not. This should be the last chance for this group. If they don't get it done this season. Then (GT won't like this) blow it up. If they do click and start winning games, then Jr is the only one too go. And actually Jrs numbers are better than Dunns. All except one. age

I have heard some have questioned Bruce's arm...many want him in right field, but you need a good arm to play right.

Tim Naehring and Krivsky got into it last year and is one of the reasons he is no longer with the club, and much of the dispute was over Bruce.

Bruce isn't a leadoff hitter, but there isn't any reason not to try him in CF when he's ready to be promoted, which looks more sooner than later given his early performance in Louisville.

I don't think Griffey would qualify then.You would prefer to have a strong arm in right I agree,but Jr. is not that strong and he gets by.
