So who makes room for Ross? Anyone care to guess?

I think they had said they were going to put Valentin on the DL. Send down Coffey when Bray was ready.

Has to be Hatte. Square peg on the roster as it stands...

I really, really wanted to be excited about this Reds team. For some reason, I cannot.

Again, I agree with you.

Wow. there is nobody there. I recall the good ole days when the Dodgers meant a packed house.

I am just now checking up on this thread and I agree, those were the days...."The Big Red Machine" and the hated Dodgers (with Dusty Baker wearing the blue)

So they are just going to settle for whatever they get? No way Bob eats his contract too.

DFA if need be. Tick. Tock. Wayne...

You gotta get something for him. I would hope at least.

What said that?

Marty and Hal had assumed that because Valentin was banged up, he would go on the DL when Ross was ready. Would make sense to send Coffey down when Bray was ready.

I think at this point with Votto coming on, you go ahead and trade Hatteberg and get whatever you can for him.

Thats a 15 day fix to a year long problem.

I would agree, in a perfect world, they trade Freel, Hatteberg, Patterson. Put Bruce in center and I guess platoon Keppinger and Gonzalez at short.

Bruce is not a CF and lead off guy. Please stop fueling that fallacy.... :p

They have to at least play him in center the rest of this year. When Griffey is gone, they move him to right next year. I figure they keep Dunn. Bruce may not be a leadoff hitter, but everyone else sucks, so might as well try him there. Maybe in the off season with Griffey gone and Bruce in right, the Reds can make that move for Lofton. It's obvious now, with him, they wouldn't be struggling like this.
