April 22, 200818 yr So E-5 is hitting everything, but BP is in a major slump. Just can't seem to get everyone on the same page.
April 22, 200818 yr I really, really wanted to be excited about this Reds team. For some reason, I cannot.
April 22, 200818 yr How about: Hopper/Freel Keppy Jr. Dunn BP Votto E5 Ross/Bako/Valentin P I would kinda like to see Hopper get more consistent playing time and see what he can do, rather than just an AB here and there. I do not like BP after Dunn though. I think batting him third or fourth makes more sense to me. Hopper definately deserves some more ABs. With his capability to lay down a perfect bunt every time he is at the plate makes him dangerous.
April 22, 200818 yr I really, really wanted to be excited about this Reds team. For some reason, I cannot. I agree. I had high hopes for this team. Their pitching has been up and down, more up than anything though. Burton, Affeldt, and Coco have pitched well out of the pen and Cueto, Volquez, and Harang have been great starters. Dunn is not hitting well at all, neither is the leadoff hitter no matter who it is, and E5 has been up and down, mostly down. BP has been good, and Keppy has been great. Griff has been Griff. We need to put the offense together some how. They just can not string together any hits if it is not the 9th inning.
April 22, 200818 yr I wonder if Krivsky's seat is getting warm? They are eating a lot of bad contracts and could soon be eating another, in Hatteberg. I like Hatteberg, but he has to play everyday and he isnt with Votto there. They have to be looking to move him... How much do they owe Hatteberg for this season? Stick a fork in Belisle. How many chances does this guy get? He couldnt have come to the Reds any hotter and gets belted by a team who could only muster three runs the entire series in Atlanta. They toyed with him.
April 22, 200818 yr I wish they'd give Hopper more of a shot at it... yep. I would just pencil his name him and let him go with it for a while and see what happens. I have a feeling that if given consistent playing time, he would do some nice things. May be wrong, but I feel like he would.

Would be if I owned the club.
April 22, 200818 yr Another impressive showing for the Reds today... What makes it all the more disheartening is the way they finished yesterday. Came off the mat and got a big comeback win. They just can't seem to string anything together and take one step forward and then two steps back. A tad frustrating.
April 22, 200818 yr Ryan Freel CF Brandon Phillips 2B Ken Griffey Jr. RF Adam Dunn LF Jeff Keppinger SS Joey Votto 1B Edwin Encarnacion 3B Paul Bako C Matt Belisle P Replace Freel with Hopper and you pretty much have my lineup...possibly switch BP and the Kepster and add Ross.
April 22, 200818 yr If Jay Bruce isn't going to be called up. Norris Hopper needs to be seeing more PT. It should be as clear as the nose on Castellini's face.
