April 14, 200818 yr My son whom some of you might not know legally in the eyes of the law is nothing but a friend due to the fact I did not marry the person who gave birth to him. To me, he has always been mine and will always be. Now the coolest thing ever happened two-days ago. He calls me and says dad I need to ask you something and I said yes, he then asks would it be ok to legally change my last name to yours? Of course with tears in my eyes I said yes.

I have an incredible step father, who has done things for me that own fathers may never do for their children and I have to say... I would love to take on his name if i wasn't all ready married. Your son is a sweetheart for thinking about that as well. CONGRATS, what an honor.

Because of everything she has put him through mentally and physically he never calls her that word(mom) nor does he speak to her. What he feels for her if posted would cause Guru to ban me for life. So we will say he does not talk to her, ever.
April 14, 200818 yr Author Congratulations! Does that mean you adopt him, or can you adopt him? He's 22 so I do not think I can actually adopt him but I am excited with the choice he made(ALL ON HIS OWN)
