He's 22 so I do not think I can actually adopt him but I am excited with the choice he made(ALL ON HIS OWN)

Yes...you can still adopt him. Our ex foster child is now 26 and she wants us to adopt her...she has three children and is married and she checked into it and it is fine to do!

Wow! That is truely wonderful, NCF! You have a lot to be thankful for!

This is great. Congrats and God Bless.

We need more role models like you for these younger fathers who are abandoning their responsibilities.

As a teacher, I thank you for what you have done.

As a Christian, I lift a prayer of praise for you to God and that you can touch someone else's life to be a father like you are.

I will let him know about this and to all thanks for the kind words.

:ylsuper:Sweet!

Wow, I don't really know you but the testimony of your son, speaks volumes, I wish you nothing but the best!!!

Congrats to you and your son. When people ask me how many kids I have, I always tell them 5, even though only 3 are biological. My ex-wife had a 16 month old little boy when we met each other.

His biological father has never had anything to do with him. He is not listed on the birth certificate and doesn't pay any type of child support. Although I never did adopt him, and the marriage didn't last, I still get him for visitation. As far as we are concerned, I am his dad. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The same situation with my wife now. Her little girl is 3 1/2 yrs. old and her biological father hasn't seen her since she was 3 months old. She is my daughter now, I don't care what anyone says.

The way I look at it, any man can be a Father. All he has to do is be there for the conception. It takes a real man to be a dad, though. He is the one who deals with the dirty diapers, nightmares, skinned knees, etc.

That being said, congrats again, my man, you have done a great thing.:thumb:
