Somewhere underneath all this concrete, steel and construction equipment at the new Yankee Stadium, a Red Sox T-shirt may be lurking to jinx the Bronx Bombers, according to the New York Post.

A construction worker and Boston fan working on the concrete crew at the $1.3 billion new Yankee Stadium buried a Red Sox shirt in with the concrete foundation under what will become the visitors' clubhouse, in the hopes of jinxing the New York Yankees' new home, the New York Post reported.

Alright since my first thread had already been made, in other news the Yankees have dug up the jersey and are planning on donating it to charity and may also file a lawsuit against the construction workers.

I bet it is vandalizing the property or something.

I had two thoughts come to mind when I saw the update to the story today:

 

#1. The Yankees took that whole thing WAY too seriously to actually dig it up.

 

#2. Why did that guy say anything NOW, wait til after opening day or right before opening day.

Exactly! You gotta bring that up as soon as the new stadium is finished, just so the frantic brass in New York have to decide how to unearth it without destroying the stadium!

Now the Yanks are threatening a civil suit. They said it cost them $50,000 to dig up the jersey. Give me a break, if they sue that guy, the BoSox better pay all his legal fees!

Honestly, anyone on here know what affect this could've had on the foundation of the stadium, if any?

 

If it really couldn't do anything to the stadium in the future, it's freakin hilarious. If it could, I'm pretty sure a construction worker should know that.
