I'm beginning to think it could be Voles. Any sign of dead plants?

Unlike moles which only eat grubs and earthworms, voles eat the roots of plants. Lots of little quarter-sized holes in your landscape (and lots of dead plants with no roots) are a sure sign of vole troubles.

After seeing the pics I really think it's crawdads.

We have chipmunk's and the hole's look similiar to what is in our yard.

Those pictures look like crawdad holes. A skunk makes a hole similar to one of those little v-shaped water cups.

Maybe it is crawdads who are invading your home looking for the remains of their uncle crab.

 

They are just looking to take the remains back to Florida for a proper burial.:cool:
