UK -vs- UL, 2008 game set....

Featured Replies

Louisville fans are amazing. They would play at 3:00 AM on Christmas Eve if ESPN so dictated. Way to stand up, Mitch!

Kentucky fans are amazing. They would find a way to hurt Louisville if it meant keeping their own team from any national exposure (which - even if they stand to get crushed, or have to play whoever the nobody school is a few days later, or whatever the excuse - it's still good and worthy exposure). Way to sacrifice for nothing, Mitch!

All I know is complaining is useless. Unless u play on Louisville or UK then it means nothing. Who cares what day or time they play. If you wanna watch the game buy a ticket and quit complaining over what channel it's gonna be on. That goes for both Louisville and Kentucky fans, we will all still watch the game and cheer on!

UL is still suffering from a complex from being a member of rinky dink conferences year after year. Anything to get on cable tv.

Of course, UT and UCLA changed their schedules to take that date...

Why is everyone bashing Barnhardt? He was simply supporting his Coach's wishes. If Brooks wanted to play the game on Monday night, do you really think Mitch would tell him no?

Brooks believes that it will best serve his team to play on any day but Monday. Barnhardt stood behind his coach. If people want to blame someone, blame Brooks.

Of course, UT and UCLA changed their schedules to take that date...

I think he's referring to the Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday games UL plays. I'm betting UT or UCLA won't play on these days this year.

Didn't UofL cause some kind of problems with basketball scheduling for UK or something?

3:30 around the blacktop in Louisville is misrable!

UCLA plays AT Arizona State, FRIDAY NIGHT, 11/28 . . . :fire:

I'm glad the game stayed on Sunday. I was against it all along to move to Monday. I wish it were a few hours later though!

Wasn't there issues over UofL playing hardball with UK and their basketball schedule? Didn't they cause some kind of problems with UK playing in Louisville or something? I heard that was the whole reason that Mitch wasn't going to play little bro to Jurich. I'm a UK fan but I think a whole lot of Jurich and the job he has done. With that said I appreciate Mitch not backing down in any way from him.

A Louisville fan agreeing with a Louisville fan? Wow!:creepy:

Monday Night at 8pm is a better spot than Sunday at 3 in 100 degree heat.

Now as UL fans we need to respect big brothers wishes and give them plenty of time to get ready for the toughest game on their schedule.....North Fork State.

I just don't get it why so many people would rather have it on Mon instead of Sun.

The majority of people don't have to work Monday so they can enjoy Sunday night. If it is on Monday then about everybody has to work on Tues.

It also messes up both teams preperation for the next week. Norfolk State isn't a big worry but why have the hassell when you don't have too?

I still think it goes back to the basketball conflict. The game was already planned for Sunday. UofL wanted to change it and UK didn't. I think it's funny how the UofL folks are mad now about it. If I'm KY next year I'm trying to change the game to some random time to put the pressure on UofL to cooperate. Wait UofL already plays games on nights like Tues!
