April 3, 200818 yr I think the Sunday time would've been great, and still will be. But last year ESPN didn't ask if they wanted to play on Monday night football, the most viewed sporting event each and every week of the year. That is the difference between last year and this year. The last time I checked the NFL played on Monday night football, not college. If you think as many people would watch, you are stretching yourself.
April 3, 200818 yr The last time I checked the NFL played on Monday night football, not college. If you think as many people would watch, you are stretching yourself. Check the ratings...... You will be surprised. Football is football. Why do you think UCLA and Tenn jumped at the chance to play in that slot?
April 3, 200818 yr I will say UCLA and Tenn. would get better ratings than UK and UL,but not as good as Pittsburgh and Dallas.
April 3, 200818 yr I will say UCLA and Tenn. would get better ratings than UK and UL,but not as good as Pittsburgh and Dallas. Probably so, but that would be even more reason for UK and UofL to accept the slot. They were the first asked.
April 3, 200818 yr There is an iron man competition in Louisville that day going past PJCS... so thanks Mitchy for creating a mess. You mean "was" going past PJCS not anymore.
April 3, 200818 yr Sunday and 3:30pm is perfect for tailgating, thank you Mitch you have made the weekend!
April 4, 200818 yr Author Sunday and 3:30pm is perfect for tailgating, thank you Mitch you have made the weekend! In theory you are right. To re-iterate, you like to claim to be a U of L fan, though your posts prove you are not. But, August, in Louisville, is horrendous, with our peak temperatures coming between the 3-4 pm hours. Great job Mitch. UK has stuck their noses up for the last time. UK has shown cowardice in this series, knowing that Louisville has to have this OOC game on their resume. Hardly anybody else will play them.

April 4, 200818 yr It pretty much boils down to UL not getting their way and they don't like it. I look forward to reading some more boastful comments on here from the Cardinal folk, much like we read last year about how Louisville was going to wax UK and how Louisville would get better as the season went on. I think there was a thread somewhere on the comments. The other poster said it best. It doesn't matter the date and time. If it's something other than what Louisville came up with, there's going to be a tantrum.
