April 2, 200818 yr Because that's what Western needs in a coach. IMO Knight could do a great job of coaching as well as find time in the summer to fish alittle.
April 3, 200818 yr Latest out of Bowling Green: Bobby knight was flew into Glasgow last night by one of the big contributors to WKU. The reason he was flown into Glasgow was because of the rumors and buzz surrounding his arrival. It has been said that he just wants to stay at Western until he reaches 1000 wins as a head coach, he wants a membership at Old Stone, and a 1 million dollar salary. There are many other rumors flying around but this is what is being said around town. It really is starting to look like a possibility that The General will be wearing another red sweater before it is all said and done.

April 3, 200818 yr Really? This was one of the many rumors that I had heard. However, on the 11 o'clock news the WKU administration put to sleep all of the rumors about Bob Knight coming to BG.
April 3, 200818 yr THe word in the coaching community is that an assistant from Texas will get the job or is the frontrunner. Do not know the name, but he was an assistant at WKU under Felton.
