Holmes returns 2 starters in the Johnsons and the way Pittman played at Rupp, I would say Holmes could be preseason #1.

Losing Henderson is great deal to recover from.

True, but they were very deep last season and players stepped up at Rupp so I think they'll recover strong.

Pittman is a straight up stud!!!

Agreed his athleticism is unmatched in this state and if he grows to be about 6'8 he will be Mr. Basketball for Kentucky.

Let's wait and see. You could be right, then again maybe not. There were some shue in's that didn't make it this year as there were every year.

I agree. The 9th is a lot tougher than some realize. While right now Holmes is obviously the #1 team in the 9th going in to next year, I'm not ready to make them the #1 team in the state. There will be some really good teams next year. (Scott Co, GRC, Lexcath, Elliot Co, etc.)

I'd say next year they will probably be in the top 10 but will have to prove themselves to be considered top 5. Henderson will be a very big loss. You can't replace a McDonalds All American nominee who had the talent Henderson did.

The only plus side is they started 3 sophomores and they can replace Avery with Riley who has a better shot and better handles, but just isn't as aggressive as Avery.

Also I believe Holmes will have only 1 or 2 seniors next year. This year's team was senior laden and had leadership and it showed with the composure they were able to keep in games that they got down in. I'm interested in seeing how a junior laden team handles the same adversity if it arises.

I would suspect that Scott County will have intramural teams that could compete in many regions.

How about University Hts???? Didn't they have a bunch of underclassman playing V and made it to Rupp, or am I mistaken. Did they lose the bulk of talent? Seems they had like a 6'6 8th grader

UHA loses Hopson and Edmondson. They'll be good next year but no where near what they were this year IMO.

It will be not the usual Scott Co after the 1st 6-7 kids. Thats not a knock on the underclassmen but the top to bottom talent not there compared to the last 3 years.

Frosh, Soph class this year just not region contenders in probably any region.

They may not go 10-11 deep. However their starting five should be by far the best in the state. They have possibly five players, if Chad Jackson comes, that could play division 1 basketball. Scott Co. will be the Preseason favorite to win state.

Doesn't Boone county return more than Cov-Homles? I figuired that they would be favored over Holmes.
