March 19, 200818 yr Some of you might remember awhile back that I had a fraternity brother that was battling for his life with cancer. He is in his early 30's and has two precious little girls that he has been fighting this disease for. He's been told in the past that he had a few weeks to live but overcame the odds. Our old fraternity was able to help run a marrow drive that went great and he was able to get his whole family to Disney World a few months back. He's been through multiple treatments and experiments but it seems he is starting to lose his will. I got an email today that said he is done with all treatments etc and is going to let it run it's course one way or another. I ask that you all pray for Keith Cochran (former Belfry football player + SAE at Morehead). Please pray for him and his family including his precious little girls+wife. Thanks!
March 19, 200818 yr I can't even imagine what he and his family are going through. He and they both will be in my prayers.
March 19, 200818 yr This must be so hard. Yes, I remember you telling us about him. He must just be getting really tired and sick...those treatments can really wear you out. My mom has not had chemo or radiation for 5 years now, however, she said she has never felt the same....he sounds like he has been through many treatments. Miracles do happen, and, it sounds as if he and his family really need one right now. God, please help this family...give this man the strength to do what he needs to do. God, be with his family. Please pour your healing power on this man. Show us your miracle and your healing on him. Please God, help. You will recieve the glory. In your name, we pray. Amen.
March 19, 200818 yr I will pray for he and his family. It is a tough thing to go through for a family (I know my twin sister survived cancer when she was 16.) Prayers from Maysville to this family.
March 20, 200818 yr Thanks everyone, please continue to pray for Keith, Sarah and the girls. Very tough times for them and they need all the prayers they can get.
March 20, 200818 yr Keith has been the toughest person I have ever known. I'm basically reduced to tears every time I think about his situation. Yet, he continues to think of others and continues to thank God for His blessings. I would be a proud man if I was half as strong as Keith.
March 20, 200818 yr Author Watusi or any of you that get to talk to Keith I hope he knows the impact he has had on the lives of the 100+ fraternity brothers he went to school with. The majority of us that were there together are all now young fathers and there isn't a one of us that hasn't learned to appreciate what we have even more watching Keith battle for his daughters. I know he has drawn a lot of the guys closer to God and their families. I've talked to Wireman before about this and he has had a major impact on both of our lives. The response has grown so much that it's touched 100's of lives of people that don't even know Keith but are praying for him everyday! I lost my uncle (who might as well of been my only brother) at the age of 42 from cancer. He had two little girls like Keith about the same age. The similarities are almost scary. It changed my life forever and I hope+pray that Keith is able to pull off a miracle. We weren't best friends but good friends. I just hope he knows how much power he has had over people. He has been a witness of what a Christian is and what a man will battle for his wife + kids. I also hope his family knows that we are all praying for them too! I got an email from one of our fraternity brothers praying for him and I know that email went out to hundreds of others. He is a special person!
March 20, 200818 yr Amen Stick1. A major reason that I made the choice to be baptised was the feelings I received from helping with raising money for Keith and his family. He has definately made me appreciate my health and my family much more. I know for sure that his story has been passed along throughout the Greek community at MSU and several prayer chains. His story has touched a lot of people.
March 20, 200818 yr Prayers going up from Raceland and all of the Rambler family Stick. May Gods will be done and may God comfort and bless this family. Cancer is just a terrible disease that shows no prejudice. I have lost family members and good friends to cancer, I believe that most everyone has. God bless you as well stick, you are obviously a good friend to this man.
