March 19, 200818 yr You didn't answer my question. Where those the only tapes sold?Yes, I did answer your question. The videos that are getting publicity are those that the reviewers found newsworthy. It's a dog bites man kind of thing, but that is how it is with politics. Now, please answer my question, have you bothered to watch all of the video clips that have been aired? If so, do you really believe that the Rev. Wright is capable of keeping his obviously racist and anti-American views under wraps for all but the video clips that have received coverage?
March 19, 200818 yr For 20 years? :creepy: Poor example of leadership IMO. Please! You take a few instances out of at least 1000 sermons the man must have delivered and decide he's a racist. You have no idea what the bulk of his sermons were that were delivered. You have no idea what charitable programs he may have begun, or organizations he may have supported. You have no desire to look beyond a columnists' opinion and a few videos circulated via the internet. Have you tried to find out any more about the man? I'm pretty sure your answer is going to be "I don't need to". Any person who is discriminatory is a person who refuses to educate themselves on the full value of another human being and accept the differences. Whether that discrimination is based on race, gender, religion or political views, it's a bias.
March 19, 200818 yr Yes, I did answer your question. The videos that are getting publicity are those that the reviewers found newsworthy. It's a dog bites man kind of thing, but that is how it is with politics. No...you didn't. You have yet to tell me if those were the only videos sold. What you have done is tell me what I already know...which one's would get sensationalist publicity. Now, please answer my question, have you bothered to watch all of the video clips that have been aired? If so, do you really believe that the Rev. Wright is capable of keeping his obviously racist and anti-American views under wraps for all but the video clips that have received coverage? Yes, I have watched them. Apparently, unlike you, I can watch them and not become upset. I wonder why?

March 20, 200818 yr Yes, I have watched them. Apparently, unlike you, I can watch them and not become upset. I wonder why? Psst.....it starts with an "L". .
March 20, 200818 yr I showed you proof on page 1 of this thread. The NY times neo-con columnist William Kristol corrected his column on the subject of Obama being at the sermon b/c it was false and his only source was newsmax. A check of Barack's schedule shows he wasn't at the sermon. Go to post No 8 How can Bill Krystol correct somebody else's story? NewsMax claims to have an eyewitness who is standing by his story and who also claims that a Secret Service detail accompanied Obama to the service. Obama's campaign so far has refused to release details of his whereabouts that would put the matter to rest one way or another. You have proven nothing so far and neither has Obama's campaign.

Yes, I have watched them. Apparently, unlike you, I can watch them and not become upset. I wonder why? I am not upset at all. If you recall, I had many upset with me at my strong criticism of John McCain. I do not believe that there is an honest candidate in the race, but I think that a double standard is being applied to Obama's association with an array of racist characters, including Rev. Wright. Obama was among the first people who criticized Don Imus (who I detest). Obama said that a man who made the statements that Imus made would no longer be working for him. Why did he not apply the same lofty standard to his own pastor?
March 20, 200818 yr I think Ace's point is that how is it okay for us to question the government and how it is ran and not for Rev. Wright to be able to do that same thing? Gracias TB and G:ylsuper:
March 20, 200818 yr What specifically makes him a racist bigot - the pastor I mean? At what point does he claim that another race is less than human and doesnt' deserve to eat at the same counters or go to the same schools or live in the same neighborhoods? I see where he lays some blame at the feet of the white race for past offenses - most of which we deserve. But he doesn't ever say that whites should not get jobs or homes or be able to vote. What particular statement is racist?
March 20, 200818 yr Maybe he's showing the leadership quality of listening. That's a quality that's been missing from the U.S. presidency for several years now. Just because you listen to someone you disagree with instead of "standing up to them" doesn't make you a poor leader. It often makes you a better decision maker. You're good, I'll give you that. But 20 YEARS???? A leader also has to make a decision eventually. Think Obama has yet?
