March 17, 200818 yr After the severe weather in Atlanta on Friday night. Cited the head of the selection committee as his source. There is the answer to the questions from a few days ago. They took the situation in to consideration, and it helped the Cats. No spin if true either way. It was a surreal situation, and that's how it was handled...
March 17, 200818 yr Author This isn't a shot at UK. Good for the committee for doing the right thing. I'm sure it didn't hurt the commish was in the room and dealing with a crisis, but whatever... :fire:
March 17, 200818 yr My view is that why should the loss not count against them? Georgia faced the same situation Kentucky did. Now if they want to consider the inbounds no-call ...

I think the people in the room are human, and what they do to select the field can reflect that. At the end of the day, it's nothing more than their job, and all of us saying they are wrong...
March 17, 200818 yr I had wondered if it would come into play -- hence the thread. I would have thought they would have put the Cats a little closer to home to compensate but I guess getting in was reward enough for them
