There are no "great" matchups for UK in this tourney. UGA proved that. They can win. I know little about Marquette but it seems like they're a guard-dominated team which helps UK.

I'm not basing anything on UGA. They were comfortable playing in the smaller arena that they had played at before. They gained an extra day of rest and then they bit into the us against the world philosphy. Let's not forget that they also beat Miss. State, Ole Miss, and Arkansas (and probably would have beat anybody else they played, as well).

I forgot about them beating us in 94 against Pitno that got Kevin O'Neil the job at Tennessee. Isn't he filling in at Arizonia?

I see lots of people saying this is a "winnable" game for the Cats... I can imagine a lot of Marquette fans saying the same thing for themselves. It's a pretty good matchup.

Just looked it up and didn't realize that UK has played Marquette so many times in the NCAAT. Not that it means anything, but they are 4-5 all time.
